  1. Okay. I go to a Christmas Eve. party every year, and they always have these awesome snacks that everyone loves. They’re super easy to make.

1.) You get a regular bite-sized pretzel, and put a Hershey’s kiss on top. (You make a bunch at a time, and put them on a cookie sheet.)
2.) Put them in the oven for about 5 minutes on 350.
3.) You don’t want the kiss completely melted, just a little, so it will be easy to put the M&Ms on top.
4.) Now, put an M&M on top of each of the kisses and pretzels.
To make it a little more festive, use red and green M&Ms. :)

These are really, really tasty, and easy to make! Enjoy!

  2. Spinach dip and beer cheese are good party snacks; also Salsa or guacamole is good to have on hand for those who are lactose-intolerant.

  3. flirt a lot and get finger food and alchohol

  4. Lots of finger foods… especially those that are quick and easy to make so you aren’t in the kitchen the entire time your friends are enjoying themselves. I have tons and tons of recipes as I usually have a huge party (75+ people) each year. If you want some, I’d be more than happy to email them to you… just let me know.

I keep the food set up in a separate room… usually our spare bedroom… so everyone has access to it but it doesn’t take up all the room in the kitchen or living room.

Also… an inexpensive favor is to make ornaments… a little glitter, glue and ribbons goes a long way… and let everyone pick one. I also have a tablecloth that everyone signs and after the holidays are over, I stitch over everyone’s name with red or green thread.

If you’re having kids, depending on their ages, they can mainly entertain themselves while the adults mingle. I like to let the kids decorate the tree or a room in the house if it’s early enough. It keeps them busy and gives them a huge sense of accomplishment. I also make easy access to kid-friendly food (my kids are 15 and 17 but they prefer the pizza and chip-type foods over the fancier dishes) by keeping extra of that in whatever room the kids are occupying.

No tv but a little soft Christmas music is always nice.

If someone asks if you want or need help, and I can’t stress this enough, TAKE THEM UP ON IT. You don’t have to be Holly Homemaker and do everything yourself. Your family and friends are not only willing to help but may actually WANT to help.

Finally… don’t stress out. If something doesn’t go exactly right, it’s no big deal. Relax and enjoy yourself. After all… having a house full of friends and family is the most important aspect of your party.
