because there is not much fat on foot.
also area where close to organ is hurts, too.
I have 2 tattoos. One on the small of my back, which is a bony area and one on my left shoulder with more muscles and tissue. The one on the small of my back hurt like heck!!! I could feel it vibrating thru my hipbones and up my spine the whole time I was getting the tattoo. I’m told from the guy that runs the tattoo parlor that the foot/ankle and the small of your back are two of the most painful spots to tattoo. The reason is there is less fatty tissue and the nerves and bones feel the tattoo needle a lot more because they’re not protected as well on the boney areas. I hope it helps! Getting a tat hurts like heck, but it’s worth it. Just make sure it’s something you really want! Good luck!
For me personally the foot was the worst spot, I have pretty much the entire top covered. At first it wasn’t so bad, but as it went on the pain got worse. We even tried some numbing spray that didn’t do anything for the pain. I even have my collar bones done and the foot was worse. I think it’s because the skin is so thin and all that’s underneath is bone and veins. I could barely sit through my foot tattoo and have yet to get it touched up. I have however heard some people with their foot done that claim it didn’t bother them as much, but I’ve also heard from people covered in ink that people with foot tattoos are crazy. Remember, everyone is different.
I have a tattoo on my foot that goes to my ankle.
Yes it is really painful. We started down at my toes and went up and once it went up to my ankle the pain pretty much disappeared it was awesome lol.
The foot is very sensitive with quite a bit of nerve endings not to mention it is the boniest place in the body.
When getting a foot tattoo there are a few things to remember though. Be aware and ask your artist about migration depending on the area and the chance of fading because your foot moves quite a bit that’s why hand tattoos never last long.
But once you get it done it looks amazing. The foot really is a beautiful delicate place.
Areas where there is little fat or tissue between skin and bone are the most painful. This includes ribs, anything near the spine, and of course the foot. The needle usually only goes in around 1mm to get into the dermis, but on the foot the layers of skin are much thinner therefore the needle is closer to the bone which hurts. It’s well worth it though, you forget about the pain once it’s over.
On a bone anywhere is more painful. I have one on my upper thigh, it did not hurt, I have one over my left breast, it did not hurt, I have a 9 inch tribal artwork over an old scare on my stomach, that was a little uncomfortable. Trust me, you’ll survive.
yes it does hurt because you’re getting a tattoo on the bone. and there’s not much skin on your foot. it hurts the most on the ankle though. i’ve a rose on my right ankle. it did hurt a lot..
p.s. it’s a rose that says my name in the ribbon… jasmine
i was expecting my foot tat to hurt the most, the pain was definitely present but it wasn’t the most painful tat i got…so expect a significant amount of pain, but nothing excruciating!!
I have a star tattoo on both feet and it tickled more than anything. I have really ticklish feet so i was trying not to laugh and move the whole way through.
It didn’t hurt me, but everyone is different.
I heard that because the skin is usually soft on the top of your foot that it tends to be more painful. But it also depends on how well that person can deal with pain.
It is worse than most places because the foot has more nerves and closer to the surface of the skin so they are more receptive to the pain inflicted.
It hurts sure, but the bone on your shin and your under arm hurt more. Most pain will be from getting a tat on your neck. The throat.
Yes, i think so
The foot is more of a sencitive part of your body
