Fashion Pet Peeves…..?

Filed in Category Fashion for Pets

Question:

1. Graphic T’s with skinny jeans and Converse. …So generic and overused. Come up with something new already!
2. Muffin tops (AKA pants so tight that the skin (and fat, I suppose) hangs over the top of your pants.)
3. Whale tails. I haaaate it when underwear peaks over the tops of of pants, especially thongs. I lovvve my thong underwear, but it never is visible for the world to see.
4. VPLs in general. …Ew.
5. Denim mini-skirts in general. Very few people can pull of a miniskirt look. Most of them just have weird-looking knees and look a little off in them.
6. Knock-off anything. I haaaate the Payless version of Converse or Vans, or the knock-off bags like Coach or Chanel or D&G. I have a Coach bag and I worked hard to buy it, so I don’t want people thinking it’s fake!
7. Tube tops. You have to have a really defined collar bone to pull that look off or else you just look puffy and/or fat. Simple as that.
8. Running shoes worn anywhere besides athletic areas.
9. A skimpy cami with short shorts. Or anything low cut and short at the same time. Showing some skin is hot, but baring it all is in no way cute.
10. This is a HUGE one: Wearing A&F, AE, or HCO just for the label. I hateee it when you’ve bought a shirt that says HOLLISTER CALIFORNIA all over it and that’s all. It’s not cute, it’s just showing the brand you bought off. I wear a tonnnn of AE, but NONE of it has the name on it. Just the cute little eagle. :]
11. Aeropostale in general. I don’t know why, but I hate that brand with a passion. It’s not a “cool” label, it’s just cheap 7th-grader style. Blahhhhhh.
So there’s my biggest fashion pet peeves? And now, dear readers, what are yours? And do you agree with me or not?
I’m a pretty fashionable person, but I definitely have my opinions on certain things. So if any of my pet peeves can be related to you, don’t take it personally. I’m typing what I’ve noticed in general, and what I dislike about it. :]

I agree with everything you’ve said, except for the Payless version of Converse. What’s wrong with spending less money? A truly fashionable person can be dumped in Sears and find an awesome outfit. I really hate Abercrombie jeans too, simply because they are overpriced, but not well-made. Seriously, Wal-Mart jeans would be a much smarter choice, especially if you’re saving cash, like me. I hate the graphic tee/Converse look with a burning passion!!! Everyone thinks it’s just “so cool,” but oh my god, every single girl in the world wears it. But the good thing is that you can usually tell if a person has their own personal style or not just by looking to see who is wearing that outfit. But I still love Converse. I don’t know if it falls into the running shoes department, but I still think they look cute especially with sundresses during the summer. And it bothers me with all the preteens that wear Hollister and Abercrombie logo tees. It’s like being a walking billboard. Most people just buy those shirts to show that they spent 30 dollars on a stupid t-shirt!! I also hate people that wear the tight tank tops with short shorts or miniskirts and flip flops. It’s not as bad in the summer because it’s so hot, but it really bothers me when people wear stuff like that in the fall just because they think it looks hot. And I really don’t like anything low low cut on ANYONE over thirty. You’re old enough to be somebody’s parent, PLEASE don’t show people all that sagging! And I can’t even start on Aeropostale. I don’t understand why people think it’s a really cool brand, their designs aren’t better than Old Navy. And scene hair is as overrated as the converse/skinny jeans look. Sorry, I may have gotten a bit emotional, but I’ve had a lot of balled-up fashion pet-peeves that have been dying to come out! ; )

ok then yours are pretty detailed
    1) when girls carry both a purse and a backpack/school bag. it looks bad
    2) wearing any of these colors together: black, brown and navy blue
3)knock off converse that are plain black. they looks so cheap and ugly, but, if they have cute colors and designs, its ok. i wouldnt buy them myself though
    4) i dont like skinny jeans
    5) mini skirts with uggs.. you wear the skirt to cool you down and the uggs to keep you warm.. so why together?
    6) t shirts that are plain and only say the stores name on them… i love a and f, aero, hollister, but id never wear a logo t..
    7) vans.
    8) sneakers worn with skirts, never looks good
and hun, im a senior in high school and i love aeropostale, its not just for 7th graders.

my pet peeve is the scene look, it was cute in 7th grade but in high school its time to grow up a little and change the wardrobe.
Also when women dont dress their age, my teacher last year wore childish clothes it was distracting to say the least.
i agree with you on 100%
And I love A&F AE and HCO, especially their jeans.

Empire shirts that make women look pregnant when they’re not ( have a shirt this style I LOVE, but it makes me look pregnant so I don’t wear it!)
    Leggings under shots
    Pants under skirts
Shits that I can’t tell if they’re shirts or mini dresses
Tube tops or strapless items, especially when it has the same effect as “muffin tops”
Clothing that is too revealing or see-through
Anything with a logo; you aren’t a billboard selling their product (I.e. most shirts in hot topic)
    Torn up clothing.
Multi-colour clothing that doesn’t match and looks like you got dressed with a hangover, on drugs in the dark
Huge hairbows or Scene hair. You can’t touch it.. it’d eat you alive.
Pants that go above the belly and have double buttons
Shirts that have a different colour under the boobs down. It makes you look disproportionate
Dresses with zippers, it looks cheap.
    Mismatched long socks
    Colourful knee socks with shorts/skirts.

I don’t really have any, fashion isn’t so big were I live. We do occasionally like to play with bright colors though<3. High school football is really big here in my map dot of a town that I love so Friday nights are filled with green and gold. We mostly go for cheap and cute here, we may not get ahead financially, but we get by and as a result know what is important.
I can’t stand the stores in the mall that charge you like $30 for some jeans when you can go to Wal-Mart and get the same pair with a different tag for $15 though. Knock-offs are always better in my opinion, I mean the look almost the same and are way cheaper, why waste money? I did however splurge on some Nike Shox a couple of years ago for $80. They were expensive but I still wear them pretty much daily with the exception of Sunday morning church.
