How Can I Keep My Makeup From Wearing Away And Keep My Makeup Fresh All Day Long?

Filed in Category Answers - MakeUp

When i apply my makeup in the morning (foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer) my skin looks good for only a couple hours. When i go to the bathroom after lunch, i find that my makeup has worn away and my skin looks blah again. How can i keep my makeup from wearing away? Please keep in mind that i go to a catholic school, and i cannot carry makeup with me.

You must moisturize at let it sit for about 10 minutes so that it can absorb into the skin. Next you will want to apply a facial primer and let that sit for about 3 minutes. Then you should be good to go. For added protection try MAC fix plus spray it helps when using a powder foundation. This should be lightly misted onto your face after steps one and two.

There is many ways to keep your makeup lasting long!
Liquid Foundation: Apply your foundation as usual and then take some face powder (can be loose, mineral or pressed) and set your foundation with it.
Lips: Apply your lip moisturizer as normal, then take a lip liner (similar colour to your lips) and shade in your lips, afterwards go over with lipstick and lipgloss as usual.
Eyeliner: Best way to set eyeliner if to take a thin eye brush dip it into an eyeshadow the same colour as your eyeliner and set your eyeliner by following the line you created.
For whole Face: The best ever product to make your makeup last all day is MAC Fix+, all you do is just spray it all over your face once you have finished your makeup. =]

You need to invest in a good face primer. MAC sells a good one called “prep and prime” another good one is photofinish by smashbox, both are a bit pricy, but you will notice a difference in the way your makeup lays, and how long it will last you. Also, make sure after you are applying your foundation that you set your makeup with powder to increase its wear time. Hope that helps. :)

I had the same problem so what you do is take cover up or some liquid foundation and put it under your makeup like on your eyes then apply your make up and blow dry your face. i know it sounds stupid but it really does work

Use Avon Magix Perfector. It’s a primer. I have it & I love it, it keeps my face from getting oily too.
Just search for Magix on the site.

You may want to try skin primer and translucent powder.
The primer prepares your skin and makes the colour last, (you put it on prior to make up)
and the powder sets the look in place.

really because you’re using too much…. really just try this…. moisturizer and then before it’s really “dry” appy some of the mineral power or just loose powder. i like the lucidity loose from estee lauder.
