I want to shorten my prom dress only for one night, is there a way to somehow do this without permanently sewing the dress together or cutting it??

   Take your dress to a tailor or someone who does alterations and have them Velcro the bottom of the dress for you (like hemming it but it won’t be permanent). You can do it yourself if you want to – just purchase some velcro at a fabric store (enough for the bottom of your dress).

   sewing isn’t permanent, you can just remove the stitching when you don’t want to keep it short anymore. I do this all the time with my longer summer dresses to make them minis for a day.

   Hand stitch the hem, or just pin the bottom of it. You could even use fabric glue to help it hold, and just pull it down the next day.
