In about a year i really want to start boxing. But i know i need to get into shape. I am a 17 year old female. 5 foot 7 and 143 pounds. I’m not the biggest fan of running but if it’s what i have to do, then i will. Any work outs or diet suggestions would be great. Ever tip helps. Thanks

running is a MUST for boxing conditioning (i know, it sucks!). do lots of cardio, power walking, running, swimming is REALLY good. also train with weights but in moderation. and do lots of crunches and ab workouts, your abdominals play a HUGE role in matches. dont cut out carbs completely, just get them from whole grains, and cut sugar. choose lean high protiens, like chicken and fish, and plenty of veggies. drink nothing but water, and lots of it. find a good gym and trainer, and you’ll be on your way to a productive amateur career. good luck!

its mostly about exercise. boxing will put u in shape.
