Hi, i need someone’s help with telling my parents about my boyfriend. This is my first boyfriend, and i have never talked to my parents about my “love life” in any way. How should i approach them with this news? I am about to turn 15 and I always get honor role in school. My parents are strict when it comes to school, but i don’t know how they will react when i tell them about a boyfriend. Parents advice is greatly appreciated!

   My advice to you is to talk to your mom (at least) and let her know you want her to know whats goin on in your “love life” it will be awkward at first but explain that you know what matters in life (grades, career etc) that you are not thinkin bout sex and that you would like to have her (or both parents) meet him and see what they think just dont make it sound like you are really serious (youll scare them lol)

   ALways be open and honest and have communication is key in life and if you always do this your parents will see you as the adult your coming. even in life with every one always be honest and communicate.
   listen to your parents they love you and there rules are there for a reason. when your 18 and move out, then its your life and your rules
   remember most relationship in high school never last they come and go

   Ask them if you can go to the cinema/dinner/wherever with him, when they ask who he is just say he’s your boyfriend, or that you guys have been going out. Or ask if he can come round, because you want your parents to meet him as you want to go out with him but want them to approve (even if you don’t, it might make them react better!)

   Aw babes, I have the same problem at the moment I’m 16 and been with him for 1 year and 2 months, but my dad sussed out and won’t really talk about it. Tell them that your boyfriend will not interupt your school work. Your mum is likely to be happy – It’s dads that are the problem. They still think of you as their little princesses, and it won’t stop at that level. Give it time. How long have you been with him? Wait for about 3 months before telling your parents.    i’m a mother of a 3-yr-old…still have a few years til i get that news!
   but when that time comes, i would want my daughter to come to me first (i don’t know what relationship u have with your mom…but mine with my mom was great and so far my little girl is a mommy’s girl)…i would like to meet him first…then i would talk to my husband about it…about what he thought of my daughter having a b/f…and sort of ease the idea into his mind…then i would tell you to bring him to dinner…

   just tell both of them if they will sit with you becasue you need to tell them something, and just be like, there is this boy that i like and he likes me to, and i wanted to know if you guys will trust me enough to have a boyfriend, and if they say yes then say thanx, and tell them they can trust you, when i was little that alwasy wroked

   just be like, can i go ‘somewhere’ with ‘name’ on the weekend, i really like him…
   i don’t know just try and be upfront about it if you are mature they will probably be fine with it, it depends on your parents opinions though

   this is how i did it.
   i just told my mom cuz my dad would FLIP! ha ha lol. and she doesnt care that he doesnt know.
   just like hey mom i have a bf is that ok?
   and like if she says no, be like i have good grades, its not distracting, if my grades fall i will break up w him, and ya its a good experience and you can meet him!

   Say that you’re going to the mall with your friend, and then when they ask who you could tell them it’s a boy from school that likes you.
   Explain to them that you will not affect your grades.

    when your having tea or watever just mention that you have met a boy that you really like and he asked you out. see what they say and if that goes ok reassure them u will keep up ur grades at school and everything
