I Need Some Advice And Tips On Dieting And Workout Etc.?

Filed in Category Dieting Tips for Girls

Ive been dieting for about 3-4 months…smaller portions, healthy, and workout a lot at the gym. 1-3 hours 4-6 times a week.
Im 16, female, 5’5 about 160 lb :( and i want to loose 10-30 pounds.
So i was wondering if any of you have any tips for weight loss. what have you done and what do you recommend?
also, is it true that at first you loose weight fast and then as the diet progresses, the weight loss slows down??
So any tips and helpful ideas would be good.

  1. Well, most people do not realize that dieting is not just about eating the correct things and exercise but also has to do with your heritage and blood type.
Once you know your Genetic Key Type (GK Type) you will then know what amounts of carbs and proteins you should have at your meals. i.e. More carbs and less protein or equal amounts of both or less carbs and more protein. You are correct in the portions, they should be no more than the size of your palm flat. This is in line with the “South Beach”diet and low glycemic eating too. If you keep what every you are eating below a 50 on the glycemic index your pancreas will secrete “Glucogon” (burns fat) and not “Insulin” (stores fat).
Also you need to feed your body every 90 to 120 minutes for ideal weight loss. If you have a heritage from the European countries you genetically have a gene called the “thrifty gene” and if you do not feed your body on a regular intervals (90 to120 minutes) it will start storing all food you eat into fat, because it thinks you will not feed it for long time again. Think of it as a bear storing fat for a long hibernation. This not to different than what your body is doing (a defense mechanism from when we were early man).
The ideal setting is to get your body to burn the fat and not store it. Feeding your body on a regular basis will trip it into a fat burning state without exercise (now adding exercise will just make the process happen faster). Now couple of things you need to keep in mind, this all about making better choices, you don’t need pre-packaged foods. Pick your food that are closer to nature not processed (white is bad i.e. potato, rice, pasta and bread) try to get whole grain foods when possible.
For snacks use nuts or vegetables. It takes your body long to process these and whole grains so it burns more calories.
It is true that your body will change and adapt to what you are doing, but on a low glycemic diet you do not have to “reset” your body like on Atkins.
Hope this helps. Go to gkdiet.com and take the survey to find your GK type and shows your tables and basics. It is easy to do but if you need help you can email for help at the site.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

  3. To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight… not that you “should be X pounds”, but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that
That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more

  4. Exercise, is one of the best ways to loose weight. You can try, this crash diet, it is a 3 day diet where you only eat certain things, no snacks, just what thepaper tells you, and by the fourth day you get to eat what yo want. But eat small. With this diet you are guarenteed, to loose up to 40 pounds. Eat low carbs, low sodium, don’t eat bread, or potatoes. But if you were gonna eat potatoes then only eat small amounts, they are high in fat. Eat salad like there’s no tommorow. Talk to your doctor and see what they recommend. Yes, you do loose weight faster when you first start losing, and then it does slow down the more you loose.
