I like this necklace but I’m not sure if its something suited better for grandmothers. What do you think?

   No, but pearls are cheap and thus easily afforded by those on fixed incomes, so yeah.

   Anything made of a natural substance is “in” as jewellry these days: wood, stone, bone, rock, glass, shells, you name it. Good thing too, because plastic is HORRID. I mean, why do people even bother? Who want to wear a hunk of molded plastic, and why?
   Amber used to be something associated with older women – now its hot (again). Why?

   If you love the necklace, then get it! I’ve never associated mother of pearl with grandmothers (unless it’s a mother of pearl cross, I suppose).

   Some might say that, but I have sold a lot of MOP jewelry to all age groups when working retail. It probably depends on your style. I’m a 31 year old male and I think it looks nice.
