Long Hair Troubles?

Filed in Category Answers - Hairstyles

I’m a young teen in Jr. Highschool and have been having trouble with my hair. I grow it and keep it just barely below collar level in the back. However, I have genetically moist hair, and it tends to get tangled and greasy. I do shower daily, and have even tried showering in the morning AND night. It does not want to stay clean. Can anyone suggest a way to keep my greasy hair in check?
Oh, before you start answering, I’m reserved about my hairstyle decision, so don’t ask that I cut it short. I’ve had long hair for years and I am adept at pulling off the look.

  1. I’m the exact opposite, but one of my best girlfriends has the same problem. I’ve recently gotten hooked on a store they’ve introduced me to, and they make this amazing shampoo for oily hair. She uses it, and instead of washing her hair day and night, she washes it every other day now. Her hair is squeaky clean.
The store is called LUSH, and the shampoo is called Karma Komba. They also make a conditioner for oily hair, it’s called Veganese.
Check if they have a store near you – the place is amazing. It’s all natural, and it’s done wonders for my skin and hair. Oh, and if you decide to buy, I recommend getting the shampoo tin – it keeps the shampoo and conditioner from getting gunky in the shower.
Edit: Oops – she said she uses I Love Juicy shampoo, but the Karma Komba is good, too.

  2. Wash your hair with baking soda every other day and with shampoo for greasy hair on the alternate days. And DON’T use conditioner or styling products.

  3. Lighten up on the conditioner, for starters, and if that doesn’t work try using either john frieda or natura. If it still doesnt work use a dandruff shampoo.
