She’s mentioned having a “runway” in our upstairs hallway, which might be do-able…but I am bleeding from my brain trying to come up with ideas…Please HELP!!!

   well personally i think that would be awesome. a runway how cool!?well im 14 so heres my ideas maybe you sould get some outfits together that are from different decades and fashion eras have fun with itget a whole bunch of clothes and tell the kids who r coming to bring some clothes for a runway show i bet it will be the party of the century good luck!if you havent made the invitations yet i would suggest trying to make them look like a fashion magazine

   That’s a cool idea. The girls will love it. Have them do a fashion run way thing where they do their hair, make up, wear jewelry and changes dresses. That’ll be cute. Make sure you take a lot of pics and they do many poses!

   have them dress up, have little purses with candy…anything! go to party city im sure they will have loads and loads of things there that will spark up an idea!

   Ummmmm, go to a goodwill, get a whole bunch of nice looking clothes and hangers. Have a photo shoot with them. The runway is a very good idea. If the area you live in is nice maybe you could do it outside. Be their personal hair/makeup sylist. You can also go to Claires and find some really cute stuff for good-y bags that go with fashion theme.

   Preteens love to dress up! I’d keep the following things in mind:
   1. Be sensitive to size issues- girls at that age come in lots of sizes and shapes- and some may feel left out if they’re not able to fit in to tiny clothes. Provide clothes of various sizes, and lots of accessories like jewelry, scarves and handbags.
   2. Make sure to provide lots of cheap makeup- and let them do wild (non-permanent) things to their hair.
   4. Prepare runway style music.
   3. Don’t forget to take pictures!

   Do a project runway theme. Tape a bunch of episodes of the show, or get the dvds- Have each girl be told in the invite to bring their favorite outfit to dress up in (or 3 or 5 outfits)- or they could actually construct outfits that night- and have them model them for some judges. You could ask some friends or someone you know possibly that works at a clothing store to be judges. Make up score sheets and have prizes for whoever wins.

   Well, maybe they could each bring a few favorite outfits to “model” and then mix and match with each other’s wardrobes and you could take pictures of them in different outfits with a digital or instant camera. Print the photos right away on a home printer and let them make little photo albums or scrapbooks of themselves and friends in the outfits. They could paint each other’s nails to go with their outfits, too.
