Well I’m from the Uk,
and i have a friend who lives over in the US, and she was like oh skinny jeans, converses and stuff like that was in fashion, the term she used “emo/scene look”, well i don’t know if she was just piss taking and winding me up, as i usually don’t give a f*ck what the fashion is but the day i walk down the street and their are a load of “slaggy chavvey” people wearing skinny jeans and band t-shirts, is the day i think what has this world come to?! And as i normally get labelled as an emo/scene/punk, for my dressing style.
And i hate people looking like me i will mix and match real random crap.
And i will seriously die if it’s true!
As our fashion usually comes from the US as well
was she just winding me up or what?

the us is about 5 times the size of the uk and 308 million people and no less than 5 different ‘regions’ where ‘current’ and ‘fashion’ may differ.
not only that, i can go to my local bar weraing levis 501s and a polo shirt and be’fell right at home next to a black man in his ‘hood wear’ and a mxican in their whatever they wear and a skate rat in his garb as well as all the fat chicks who think that cottage cheese looks good in fishnet stockings.

in my neighborhood its skinny jeans and uggs (or bearpaw boots) and northface jackets. Its a very cute style for winter!

Oh my god, no, that is NOT the fashion here. I wouldn’t be caught dead in “emo/scene” clothing. It’s really not much different from the UK, only probably a little less bold and a little more casual. I shop at Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, Charlotte Russe, H&M, all those kinds of stores. If I want something for a night out I’ll hit up Guess or something.

Please don’t listen to your friend, she’s crazy!

   skinny jeans (some people wear tights and leggings though)
   converses/ vans/ uggs/ suede boots/ flip flops/ flats
   peacoats/ hoodies
   flowy tops/ v-necks/ tanktops/ fitted tshirts

   Americans have a much sloppier style than Europeans, so don’t be too surprised.
