I am a female 14 year old girl. I am 5″3 an 98 pounds. All my friends are on diets and they tell me not to go on a diet, that I’m too skinny, but when I look in the mirror I feel and look fat. I need help, please!

Talk to your doctor, if your friends say you are too skinny then you DO NOT need to diet. Ignore Bobby J and the Hoodia stuff, hes just using youe question to advertise…report him!

in 14 too and im like 5’5 and weigh 107 but yea sounds like i used to be…if you really think you need help i know its gonna be hard, but go tlk to ur mom, or your fav aunt, or even ur youth minister or a school counselor and they’ll get you help if you really have an eatin disorder…it really doesnt sound like you have one, but ya never know…also its not just about weight i mean do you really want ur bones stickin out? If you wanna tone up join a gym or buy some workout dvd’s if you dont wanna spend money just do some good ol’ fashioned jogging and situps everyday and you’ll gain muscle and look fabulous! also just eat rite i mean do you really need that 3rd slice of cake? well good luck

You definitely don’t need to lose anymore weight! I feel bad that so many young girls think they are not skinny or beautiful enough. If your friends are saying you are too skinny you probably are. For a 14 year old girl, 98 pounds at 5’3″ is an ideal weight and is considered healthy. Believe me you are one healthy young girl… dieting is for fat, lazy and old people, not for you dear
dont go 4 diet..u r too young 4 this:) i have this prob:P but i cldnt controll my weight:((((( in ur age it looks good when u r healthy…but access of evry thing is bad:P….just go 4 walk…n do light excerises….n take balance diet…
I’m the same as you -13year old girl 5″4 and 88pounds but i still feel fat. It’s up to you whether you want to diet or not. If you think you’re fat go for it it won’t do any harm but if you think you’re all right then it doesn’t matter what your friends do.

at 98lbs, especially at 14 years of age, you don’t need to be worrying about dieting. Even though you look in the mirror and look fat, trust me, you’re not. Try not to be so harsh on yourself
you don’t need to go on a diet if anything you should gain a little weight but that’s just my opinion. from what you said you sound like your too thin and have some symptoms of anorexia.
Okay, I already answered your “Am I fat” question. I have a wonderful pediatrician friend and I called him. He said you are anything but fat, and should stop worrying because it will turn into anorexia or bulemia. If your friends tell you you are skinny, LISTEN. It matters what they say. No diets, just keep up the great work you have been doing. Don’t eat much junk food and excercise. I was at growth ed on friday and my teacher is a country-wide well-known teacher. She says that everyone has a bit of a condition where you perceive yourself as fat but really are not. Some people have it more than others. Don’t listen to people when they say you are fat – they are only jealous.
If anything, you should gain more weight!!! I almost envy you.
