  1. I think the first two answers are very good. I could add that from Socrates/Plato I learned that we often don’t really know what we mean when we use general terms like courage etc. From epistemology, what little of it I have studied so far, that we should not always be so sure of the soundness of our knowledge, its justification etc.
I suppose in general philosophy has shown me that I’m not really very clever or knowledgable, something that no doubt Socrates would applaud and point out as a good starting point.

  2. I’ve learned mostly from Logic how to decipher the hidden facts behind the spin in news media, and how to tell what’s actually being said in a legal document (This really helps when voting for a referendum that I didn’t review before the ballot box). I learned how to apply several rhetorical tricks from Ancient Greek philosophy, like using an object to represent the notion of process (Thales’ water), and that also taught me a lot about psychology, with such events as transference and projection.
It’s all that Cognitive Processes thing that your teachers are always talking about. They say things like, “It teaches you how to think instead of merely what to think.” But the actual truth is that these studies teach you how to think more effectively by giving you the rhetorical tools to teach your brain how to see the tricks that other people are using.

  3. I will reply by my two favorite stories, Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s Le Petit Prince.
From Plato i learned to never be turned away from a chance of knowing truth, even when it is not pleasant. Always try to look at the light directly and not the shadows, that unsettling feeling in the pit of your stomach when you realize what you believe is false, is a gift, cherish it, and when you argue for what you perceive to be true, always keep an open mind, but also be prepared to be shunned from the ones that would much rather occupy and entertain themselves with the shadows.
From Saint-Exupery i have learned that as age comes, i will get caught up in the trivial things in life. I will want a house, a car, riches, a husband etc etc, same as everyone else. I have learned to question all my motives and ask myself if they are vain-desires or if they can give me fulfillment. Also learned that one who can appreciate something or someone for it’s flaws as well as it’s perfections, is the one that can truly love!
Haven’t been able to truly practice the said lessons, but if total understanding of one’s self were that easy, we wouldn’t be hunting for answers to questions like these.
Can you also answer mine please? It’s for a project so it’s much needed :) Can’t seem to link it here, it’s the one titled “Research Help! Let the gears of your mind turn”

  4. That we gotta live everyday like is our last chance, like we may never get another chance… :) and that all of us should grab it while we can and try to make it last forever and love it where we are at cause this moment is really all we have :)
We have to live everyday from right now! and celebrate it every moment and everyday and that we should follow and chase down what we dream :) cause no matter where we go we start from where we are and there’s more to life when we listen to our heart :)
