   Definitely the 70′s! That’s when it all started with Bands like Sex Pistols and the Clash! It moved into the 80′s though.

   Started in the late 1970s and continued well into the 80s.

   i would say the 80′s because when you look at all 80′s videos they have the same variety of the 80′s punk rock look.

   I think the whole punk movement took off in the 80′s.
