I went on holiday and I left my aunt to look after my hamster. When I came back my hamster was huge! I want to put her in a diet so what food can I give her. Also my hamster has a bald patch in her thigh so I’m thinking of some Vitamin C.

   Does she have any other hamsters? Because she may of coarse be pregnant.
   Keep off the fruit and veggies, give her a couple of vita drops and make her work for food. No treats for a long time.
   If you know where she stores her food, make sure there is barely anything there. One vet said hamsters eat about half of what they’re given, the rest is stored until they get more food.
   Here’s one really easy to do, hard working experience. I want you to collect plenty of toilet rolls. You only need one right now, but for the next few weeks, these are fantastic enrichment items! How to make a little food package:
   1. On one of the open ends of the cardboard, fold it. A normal fold, so it acts like a cup and the food can’t come out.
   2. Put food in the open end.
   3. Fold over the other side the same as you did with number 1.
   Hamsters really love these, they can spend ages just chewing, digging and gnawing! Even after it’s empty, they will still like to chew on it and use it as additional bedding. And since it’s basically paper, it’s pretty much fine to eat!
   Unfortunately, it may take months for this to work. Hamsters aren’t like humans, and can’t lose as much weight as we can in a few weeks.

   Give her fruit and veg and nuts replace the fruit and veg every day but the nuts every second day. Try not to give her any treats until she slims down a bit. Secondly give her lots of exercise put her in an exercise ball and let her out in your room.

   Ermmm, well you should give them loads of protein and stuff, i suggest just buying them from the supermarket. hope i helped x
