   By indie do you mean alittle more edgy? Let your hair grow just a little, and make it more choppy. It looks great on you now, especially the color, but dark is a bit more indie.

   Long hair- Hair style like Jeniffer (girl on Ghost whisperer)
   Short hair- Long bangs same length as hair parted in middle framing your face.
