What Is The Best Way To Get Rid Of Bad Habits Like Watching T.v. At Midnight, Shopping With Credit Cards…?

I mean, watching t.v.is not a bad habit… if you wouldn’t have to wake up at 5am the next day…

  1. Stop once and for all. Try putting timer onthe tV so it turns off at certain time. As for the shopping habit, try thinking that if you save that money you can buy something else or just save for a family vacation.

  2. make it so you can’t to get rid of the temptation. Freeze your credit card in a ziploc bag with water. If you need to use it, you have to wait for it to melt giving you time to think if you really need it (eliminating splurge spending) and I tend to watch TV late when I get home and just start watching TV. If i get home late and so stuff, cook, yoga whatever, i get in 45 min TV to wind down and im ready for bed!


  3. for a couple of weeks give your t.v. to a friend or relative to hold on to and cut up your card. in two weeks you’ll realize you can live without either, you’ve saved a bundle and had a many good nights of sleep and hopefully changed your habits for good.use cash for shopping it will definitely slow down any compulsion buying. or if you need your card, again give it to someone you trust with instructions that they can only give it to you once a month or for emergencies. if you don’t want to get rid of the t.v. every night have a nice long bubble bath and a couple glasses of wine then read from a favourite book. it might help


  4. humans love routine because we are creatures of habit.
    change is something that takes us out of the routine and paves way for fear. fear of the unknown.
    even with something as meaningless as watching tv at midnight.
    youve conditioned yourself that way.
    to break it- start by reading a book at midnight, or magazine.
    watching is the only state where i mind is completely turned off, unless its educational of course.
    but reading actually stimulates your brain and allows it to quiet easier.
    oftentimes there are underlying problems to bad habits- try to shake up your routine and perhaps youll find some answers


  5. Set a goal – aim to not watch tv at midnight for the next 7 days, slowly increase this to two weeks,..etc.
    As for shopping with credit cards, don’t bring the credit card along!


  6. Try writing out your emotions in a diary. All behavior is caused from the emotional realm. Or you could just read a book lol
