  1. as your medicine doesn’t contain liquids it is OK but you have to clarify … regarding the cosmetics , it is also the same NO LIQUIDS !!!

  2. Liquids ARE allowed: each container, including mascara, liquid foundation, aerosols, creams, lotions, gels, toothpaste, shampoo… and anything else that has any kind of liquid consistency must be in a container that holds 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or less.

All of those containers must fit into a single 1 qt. zip lock plastic bag – and that bag must be able to close. You can only take 1 zip lock bag per ticketed passenger. It is ONLY those liquid type items that must go into the bag.

Do not put any powdered makeup, razors, little scissors, mirrors, chapstick, lipstick in a tube or anything else into the bag. And, in case you wondered, standard safety razors with the plastic encased cartridge for the blades are allowed in carry on luggage.

ALL medication, prescription and over the counter items are also allowed. For departures from the US, the TSA inspectors do NOT require that they medicine be in an original container. They do NOT require a prescription label. If you happen to have any medication that is a liquid, or would fall into any category that I mentioned above, and it is in a bottle that is larger than 3.4 ounces, then you are allowed to take that – medicines are not restricted to the 3.4 ounce rule. You do need to tell the TSA screener, before you put all of your things through the x-ray machine, that you have a larger bottle of liquid, and that you want them to look at it specifically.

Here are links to the TSA web site for liquids and for medicine and medical items:
    http://www.tsa.gov/311/311-carry-ons.shtm
    http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/index.shtm

Take a look at those. You will find loads of useful information along with lists of specific items that are permitted or not.

  3. Roger K’s answer is correct – to help with any issues of liquids that you would normally take – go to Superdrug they do loads of miniature shampoos, conditioners shower gels toothpastes etc., basically the small bottles you can buy would all fit perfectly in the little bags and the bags are obtainable from the information desks at the airports for free. Also your makeup if its a liquid foundation that would have to go into your plastic bag too. But anything else would be fine in your hand luggage or handbag
