I want to start quilting, but I want to use hemp fabrics. What kind? Lightweight twill? Chambray?

   Quilting is generally done with 100% cotton fabrics. Cotton wears well, holds color well and is consistent in texture, handling,”sew-ability”,& control. I suppose you could use hemp fabric if are doing it for novelty or a social statement, but don’t expect it to be a high quality product. Quilting takes a lot of time and skill… You don’t want to spend your effort on something that won’t last!
   Good luck! I always tell my quilting students to use good quilting fabric so they can enjoy their creative “work” for many years!
