I was thinking of fashion-press time lines of some sort. Begining with catalogs and finishing with the newest fashion magazines, blogs, tv shows and so on. HELP!

   Sewing clothes and obtaining sewing patterns was the only fashion publishing during the 1800′s. Until up to about 1890′s, catalogues were published. Roebuck and Sears catalogues were the first catalogues to be published. Magazines have gone a long way from the 20th century, I believe that the New York Times was the first magazine to be published: it was published on September 6, 1896.
