I think I’m quite dashing in mine and wear it all the time, well not when those people laugh and carry on as I take the short cut to the river side, but most of the rest of the time…well not to bed of course, I’ve a bowler hat for that and when I’m off to eat ice cream at my favorite gelato confectionary I like to wear my pork pie hat but other than those three senarios in the summer it’s the boater hat for me. So when did fine straw hats go out of (Oh dear, dare I even script it?) fashion?

   Because it is no longer the 1920′s? Hey, if you like the way you look, then wear it. Who cares what other people think about your fashion?
   I would also like to see men wear capes again – not that I’ve ever seen one outside the telly or movies – but I think that it is the sexiest look for a man in the colder months…

   Go to the river in Cambridge, all blokes who work on the punts and some people who just want to look spiffingly summery wear them. Boater hats are never out of fashion in Cambridge!
